Wyatt Flores released his debut track “Travelin’ Kid” in 2021. Since then, the young singer/songwriter from Oklahoma has skyrocketed to fame. Songs like “Please Don’t Go” and “Losing Sleep” have garnered millions of streams and Flores currently has more than 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone. His rise to stardom was so abrupt that he found it hard to process. As a result, he had to postpone shows and take a mental health break earlier this year.
It appears that the short break served him well. Flores is on the road again and is looking to release his first full-length album earlier this year. He’s also the September Country Riser on Apple Music’s Ward Guenther Show. Recently, the “Break My Bones” singer shared a clip from his first appearance on the show. In the clip, he reveals the best advice he’s received as an artist.

Wyatt Flores on the Best Advice He’s Gotten
“’Please Don’t Go’ got us started, but like, people might have just come for one song the first time but now they’re—like, that’s what surprises me. I’m not just a one-hit wonder. You actually enjoy my music and what I have to say. That’s the best feeling in the world, when they’re singing every single song” Wyatt Flores said about his ever-growing fanbase.
“One of the best advices that I’ve been given since I took my break earlier this year was ‘Just show up.’ Just show up,” Flores said. “It’s still a hard thing for me to process because that pressure is there. You’ve got to start thinking about everyone that you’re feeding and the families that they’re feeding and to keep the train rolling. And how do we keep on reaching more people so this team can live a better life and not be in a van tucked in,” he added. “The greatest thing is just showing up. That’s the hardest thing for me to keep in my head is just show up. Truthfully, that’s all it has ever been is just showing up,” he explained.
