With the fires in Los Angeles continuing to spread, reports surfaced that over 100,000 residents needed to evacuate their homes to find safety. At the same time, nearly 350,000 people in the surrounding areas were without power. Over the last few days, countless videos surfaced on social media, showing the devastation left by the fires. Apparently, the Palisades Fire already consumed around 27 square miles. While authorities continued to fight the fire, it seems that stars like Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande are using their fame to help those impacted by the disaster.ย
Given her success in 2024, Grande had a lot to celebrate as she appeared in the hit film Wicked and released her newest album Eternal Sunshine in the same year. With both gaining praise from critics and fans, the singer recently took a moment to not shine the light on herself but the fires in Los Angeles. Posting on her Instagram stories, Grande wrote, โMy heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating LA fires. Sharing some organizations to support who are responding to those affected in real time.โ

While heartbroken over the fires, Grande followed the post with links to LAFD Foundation, California Community Foundation and Mutual AID LA Network. Around the same time, Eilish also jumped on her Instagram to offer her support to those impacted by the fires. She wrote, โWhatโs going on in LA right now is so scary and devastating.โย
Ariana Grande Celebrates Cynthia Erivo
Outside of using her stardom to help others, Grande also posted a heartfelt message to her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo. With the star celebrating her birthday on January 8th, Grande wrote on her Instagram stories, โHappy birthday my brilliant Cynthia Erivo. I love you more than words can say. Forever grateful for this journey with you and that the universe chose us!โ

While Erivo and Grande will appear in part two of Wicked, Erivo already hinted at some roles she would love to play in the future. And one of them happened to be an X-Men. โI really want to play Storm.โ

Having a love for the character, Erivo insisted, โI know it sounds frivolous, but I think we havenโt uncovered how grand she is, and all of that inner turmoil that she has. So, I think thereโs a world in which we could do something like that.โ
