The Osbournes are one of the most famous families in rock and roll history, and for what sounds like quite a few unlucky recipients, one of the family’s most memorable legacies has to do with the disgusting packages the Osbournes used to send their critics.
Sharon Osbourne, wife of Ozzy Osbourne, was the evil mastermind behind these gross postal deliveries, but the kids participated, too. Weak-stomached readers, beware: this one is a doozy.

The Osbournes Sent Disgusting Packages To Critics
Even with all their fame, money, and tremendous star power, rockstars and their families can still struggle to deal with critics and haters. After all, negative criticism is enough to make anyone feel crappy, celebrities or not, so Sharon Osbourne decided to respond in kind. During a 2015 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the matriarch of the rock and roll family revealed a particularly, er, crappy way she handled her family’s disparagers.
“What I used to do was I would get one of the kids to crap in a box, and I would put it in a Tiffany box, and I would have it delivered,” Osbourne said. She said she sent the packages to “loads of people. [My son] Jack used to say, ‘Mommy, I don’t have to poo in a box again, do I?’ I said, ‘Yes, shut up, get pooing.’”
Years earlier, Osbourne brought up her unique method of responding to critics who attacked her family in a 2006 interview with The Guardian. “I must have a thing,” she said with a laugh. “Not about s***ting but about sending it to people. I’ve done it for an awfully long time. I suppose I find it funny.” When she was on Corden’s talk show, she also clarified, “I don’t do them anymore. I have grown up; I’m a nice person now.”
Sharon’s Crappy Go-To For Making A Point
Considering Ozzy Osbourne’s stomach-turning antics over the years, from lapping up his own urine while on tour with Mötley Crüe to biting the head off a live bat, it’s not that surprising that his wife would be willing to engage in a few crass antics herself. During an episode of Osbournes podcast, daughter Kelly Osbourne described the moment she found her dad’s hidden stash of marijuana and showed her mom.
“I came to Mum, showed it to her, and then she’s like, ‘Kelly, do you need to go to the toilet?’” Kelly recalled. “And I said, ‘No, I’m not doing this again for you. I’m too old now. I’m not going to s*** in Dad’s drugs.’ [So] she s*** in it, and it was in this tiny Ziploc bag. She s*** in it, zipped it back up again, and put it back. When he found out, he went nuts and chased us down the hallway” (via Louder Sound).
Sharon added that she also used her crappy techniques to deter her husband from drinking. “He was drinking brandy, and I just got the bottle and rubbed it around my a**. Then, he took a swig, and then he went back again, and then he looked at me, and he goes, ‘You didn’t.’ And I go, ‘I did.’” While certainly not the most hygienic form of communication, we think it’s safe to say Sharon got her point across.
